Security and data
How Scouta handles your data
Each workspace's data is kept separately and only its members can see it. Data is hosted with Render in the United States. Public sources, your offer and your profile go to Anthropic to find signals and write briefs, and the company's name and domain go to Exa for news search; neither trains on it. HubSpot tokens are encrypted at rest.
What Scouta holds
- Your ideal customer profile and what you sell.
- Target accounts: company domains and names you type, upload in a CSV or import from HubSpot.
- For each account, the public pages and articles read (link, title, date and a short excerpt), its buying signals, fit and every version of its brief with your edits.
- Your team's accounts and roles, and your answer to one feedback question.
- Billing: plan and subscription status. Card details are held by Stripe.
How long it’s kept, and how to export or delete it
Accounts not researched or changed for the period you choose (3 months to 2 years, 1 year by default, or until you delete them) are deleted with their sources, signals and briefs; monitored accounts are kept while monitored. Try-it results are deleted after 24 hours. Owners can export everything or delete the workspace.
The full detail is in Scouta’s data export and deletion policy.
Who processes it
Service providers (subprocessors), each on our instructions and only for the purpose shown:
- Render: hosting, databases and backups, in the United States.
- Stripe: subscription and license payments (card details go to Stripe, never to us).
- Resend: sending email.
- Anthropic: finding buying signals in public sources and writing account briefs.
- Exa: news and web search about the companies you research (only company names and domains are sent).
